Walkthrough video editor

Your screen recording, narrated.

Drop in a silent product walkthrough. AiClipPilot reads the clicks, writes the narration, voices it in a natural voice you pick, and lays it all on a timeline you can edit like Premiere.

No microphone, no retakes. Edit the words, and the voice follows.

Why AiClipPilot

Three things no general video editor does

Built for one job: turning a product walkthrough into a video people actually finish watching.

Natural voices

Pick a voice from the gallery

Press play on any voice to hear it read a line before you choose. Set a default, change it per project, tune the speed.

Heart warm Michael calm Nova bright
  • Kokoro runs locally, free, no key needed
  • Bring an OpenAI-compatible or ElevenLabs key for more
  • Pronunciation dictionary for product names
Auto script

A script written from your clicks

The recording is analysed for cursor movement, clicks, typing, scrolling and page changes. Each click is named from the text under it, so the script says what you did.

  • Steps anchored to the moments they describe
  • Uses your own language model, or plain rule-based lines
  • An optional vision model names icons with no text
Script template

Write it yourself, in plain text

Download the template, write in any editor, upload it back. The auto script comes out in the same format, so you can always start from it.

  • Blank template, filled example and cheat sheet
  • Bad lines reported with line numbers before anything changes
  • Anchors by click, time, screen or "next"
The script template

Readable by people, exact for the timeline

Each step says where it starts and what to say. Optional lines add a zoom, skip idle time or put up a title card. When you apply it:

  1. Every anchor resolves to a time in the recording: a click, a screen, a timestamp.
  2. Each step is voiced and its length compared with the video until the next step.
  3. Idle stretches speed up when the voice is shorter, and a freeze frame holds when it is longer.
  4. Everything lands as ordinary clips, so you can still trim and move them by hand.

The editor

Shaped like the editor you already know

Media bin, program monitor, timeline and inspector, in the browser. The keyboard shortcuts are the ones your hands expect.

Multi-track timeline

Video, overlay, narration and music tracks. Razor, ripple delete, snapping, markers, J/K/L shuttle, undo and redo.

Zoom that follows the cursor

Camera moves come from the analysed cursor track, so the viewer always sees where you clicked. Edit any keyframe on the monitor.

Captions, built in

Captions come straight from the script, timed to the voice. Burn them in, or export SRT and VTT alongside the video.

Blur, highlight, spotlight

Hide an email address, box a button, dim everything but the menu. Arrows and callouts for the bits that need a pointer.

Idle time, gone

Waiting for a page to load is detected and sped up or cut, so the video moves at the pace of the narration.

Export in one click

MP4 in 1080p, 720p or source size, with music ducked under the voice. Progress, cancel and download, right in the editor.

How it works

From silent capture to finished video

Record with any tool you like. AiClipPilot does the rest.

  1. Upload the recording

Create a project and drop in your screen capture. It is probed, proxied for smooth scrubbing and analysed for what happened on screen.

Up to 2 GB per file. MP4, MOV and WebM.
  2. Get a script, pick a voice

Generate the script from the clicks, or upload one you wrote in the template. Choose a voice from the gallery and voice every step at once.

Every line stays editable; re-voice a step with one click.
  3. Polish and export

Apply the script to the timeline, then trim, zoom and caption. Export an MP4 with captions and share it.

Autosaved as you go. Come back to any project later.
FAQ

Questions people ask first

Do I need to install anything?

No. The editor runs in your browser. Rendering, analysis and the local voice run on the AiClipPilot server.

Which language models work for the auto script?

Any OpenAI-compatible chat endpoint: OpenAI, a gateway, or a local server such as llama.cpp or Ollama. Without one, a rule-based writer still produces a usable first draft.

Do I need a paid voice service?

No. Kokoro is a free local voice engine and is the default. OpenAI-compatible speech and ElevenLabs are optional, with your own key.

What if my recording already has audio?

It stays on its own track. Mute it, keep it under the narration, or cut it like any other clip.

Are my API keys safe?

Keys are encrypted at rest, used only on the server to call the endpoint you configured, and never shown again after you save them.
